Cafe By Default wanted a visual identity that celebrated the spirit of Lucknow in a way that felt vibrant, playful, and unmistakably local. The challenge was to capture the city's culture without relying on familiar stereotypes.

Inspired by the storytelling and expressive style of Mario Miranda, the illustrations bring together Lucknow's charm, everyday moments, and timeless character into a single visual language. From the walls to the menus, every element was designed to make the cafe feel like a living illustration, one that invites people to experience the city through its stories.
